More Summer Concerts Coming to Schaumburg's Town Square

Several free outdoor concerts in Schaumburg's Town Square are taking place in July and August, provided by the Schaumburg Township District Library. Concerts do not require registration and are open to all ages. Audience members are welcome to brings drinks, snacks, blankets and lawn chairs, but pets are not allowed. All concerts take place in the Town Square amphitheater, located at the corner of Schaumburg and Roselle roads.

Remaining concerts begin with Shout Section Big Band from 6:45-8:15 p.m. tonight, July 15. Shout Section performs classic big band jazz from the 1930s and '40s, and adapts modern hits to the big band style. The rain date is Tuesday, July 16.

Second Hand Soul Band will perform from 6:45-8:15 p.m., Monday, July 22. This energetic, seven-piece band will play Motown, soul and rock and roll. The rain date is Tuesday, July 23.

Two-time Grammy nominated Justin Roberts will be the featured musician from 7-7:45 p.m., Wednesday, July 24. This indie star is known for creating the soundtrack to families' lives and using music to help kids navigate the joys and sorrows of growing up.

Fans of Johnny Cash and June Carter will enjoy the country band, June's Got the Cash, from 6:45-8:15 p.m., Monday, July 29. The rain date is Tuesday, July 30.

Classical Blast will conclude the library's 2019 summer concert series as they meld classical music into classic rock hits from 6:45-8:15 p.m., Monday, Aug. 5. This popular band will rock out to new adaptations of music by Beethoven, Bach and more. The rain date is Tuesday, Aug. 6.
