Coast Guard Auxiliary Waukegan to host fundraiser for flotilla

The Waukegan Water Safety Association, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit association, is holding a fundraising event July 11 called "A Night with Cousin Curtiss" in support of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Waukegan Flotilla.

The Waukegan Flotilla is an all-volunteer group that has been in existence for more than 50 years, assisting boaters on Lake Michigan through Boating Education classes, free vessel safety checks, and the operation of two Search and Rescue boats.

"A Night with Cousin Curtiss" will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday July 11, and will be hosted by Bay Marine, located at Pershing and Harbor Place, 3 E. Madison, Waukegan.

Tickets are $40 per person in advance or $50 at the door. Ticket donation includes music, dinner, and adult beverages, including Tito's Handmade Vodka. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.waukeganaux.com, under the "Events" tab.

Donations in lieu of attendance for those unavailable to attend in person are also appreciated.
