DuPage business leader honored at national education child care conference

Katie Moore, owner of Kiddie Academy of Bolingbrook and Kiddie Academy of Darien, recently received the Star Maker and Community Leader awards at Kiddie Academy's annual conference, held this month in San Diego, Calif., where hundreds of franchisees from over 200 academies nationwide were considered for the award.

Moore was among the best of the best at this year's conference, which recognizes exceptional franchisees who have made a lasting impact on their communities through some of the most progressive, accredited, and high-quality educational child care programs in the country.

The Star Maker award recognizes individuals in the Kiddie Academy community who have helped spread the mission of the brand by referring new candidates to join the franchise and encouraging them to sign on. Star Makers are a vital part of growing the community by inspiring prospective franchisees and mentoring new franchisees through various Kiddie Academy programs.

As a Star Maker, Moore exemplifies the Kiddie Academy vision and mission within their academy and community, which in turn motivates potential franchisees to commit to the brand.

The Community Leader award recognizes Moore for displaying key leadership characteristics within the Kiddie Academy system and within her local community. This includes participation on the Brand Building Committee or making a significant contribution to the Kiddie Academy community through mentoring and support to another franchisee or academy.

According to Greg Helwig, president of Kiddie Academy, winners were honored for their extensive contributions to the Kiddie Academy system by way of mentoring, leading, and championing the brand's key growth initiatives. Other common denominators among award recipients include recommending candidates that have completed the Kiddie Academy Discovery Process, referring at least one perspective franchisee that signs a franchise agreement within a year and following appropriate branding standards.

"All Kiddie Academy franchisees share a passion for our industry, our brand, and the people who drive the company's success every day. With so many dedicated professionals working to provide best-in-class early educational child care in an environment that fosters learning and development, as well as the highest safety standards, the 'best of the best' are truly doing an exceptional job," said Helwig. "Katie embodies the highest standards of professionalism and caring, and we are proud to recognize her contributions not only to Kiddie Academy, but also to her entire community."
