Library Branches Offers Free Summer Lunches

Free lunches are available to children and teens age 18 and younger on certain days at the Hanover Park Branch Library, 1266 Irving Park Rd. and the Hoffman Estates Branch Library, 1550 Hassell Road.

At the Hanover Park Branch, lunches are served Monday-Friday from noon until 1 p.m., followed by snacks from 3:30-4:30 p.m., and must be eaten in the library's Program Room. This Summer Food Service Program is offered through the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered by the Illinois State Board of Education.

At the Hoffman Estates Branch, hot lunches are served on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. for ages 2-18 years. This program is offered through Township High School District 211.

Anyone who meets the age requirements is welcome to stop by for these free lunches and snacks available at the Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park branches of the Schaumburg Township District Library (STDL). No documentation is required to receive the food.

To find out what else is happening at the library this summer, see the June-July Guide that is mailed to township residents, or visit the library's website at www.SchaumburgLibrary.org.
