CLC rates 15th on Forbes list of best 100 Illinois employers

The College of Lake County has been rated as the 15th best place to work in a list of 100 Illinois organizations, as reported in a June 10 article by Forbes magazine online.

Forbes said it worked with market research company Statista to come up with the rankings. To determine the list, Statista surveyed 80,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees.

All the surveys were anonymous, allowing participants to openly share their opinions. The respondents were asked to rate, on a scale of zero to 10, how likely they'd be to recommend their employer to others. "We are very pleased to receive this recognition from Forbes in this, our 50th year of serving the Lake County community," said Sue Fay, executive director of human resources.

"To be the only higher-education institution in the top 15, and the highest ranked college or university on this list, is a true testament to our students, employees and community - particularly the members of our board of trustees, who all contribute to our reputation as an employer of choice.

"We are proud to join the other Lake County-based employers and partners of the College of Lake County on this inaugural list of top employers in our state."
