NARFE was founded almost 10 years ago in 1921. Meetings include speakers and discussions of current events and topics of interest such as health care costs, robo-calls, scams, electric use, and more. At the meeting on June 12, Illinois 56th District State Representative Michelle Mussman updated those attending on new legislation and the budget..

Membership in NARFE is open to federal retirees, current federal employees, spouses and surviving spouses of those eligible to join NARFE, former federal employees, and any former spouse who is entitled to a federal survivor annuity.
