Hey Nonny Maximizes Location for Sounds of Summer

Hey Nonny, the popular new Arlington Heights music venue and bistro is ready to go all-in on the village's annual Sounds of Summer concert series. The venue will schedule its own musical acts so they will not conflict with the Village activity and will also add a series of free shows on the Hey Nonny stage to follow the outdoor offerings.

The Sounds of Summer free concerts take place on various Thursday and Friday nights in Harmony Park, which is immediately across the street from Hey Nonny. The series is running a reduced schedule this year.

"Sounds of Summer is one of the great traditions in Arlington Heights and we intend to support the series in any way we can," said Chris Dungan, co-owner of Hey Nonny. "We've been looking forward to summer and having great crowds at Harmony Park, and we're very excited about our plans to make the experience even better for everyone by extending the fun."

Equipped with expansive, moveable glass windows facing Harmony Park, Hey Nonny plans to open windows so patrons dining in the bistro can enjoy the music from the street. As soon as the Sounds of Summer concert ends, Hey Nonny will introduce a musical act on their stage for a free performance for those in the facility as well as those on the street.

"Weather permitting, we hope to keep those windows open all evening and share the great music in both directions," Dungan said. "We are so fortunate to be in this location and we really look forward to sharing summer nights with the Sounds of Summer patrons."

As it does 6 nights a week, Hey Nonny plans to feature a wide variety of music on the Sounds of Summer nights. The current schedule includes:

• Friday, June 14 - The jazzy blues of Honey & The 45s and the great New England singer-songwriter Jesse Terry.

• Friday, June 21 - Canadian soul singer Erin Costelo.

• Friday, June 28 - Powerhouse singer Danielle Juhre.

• Friday, July 19 - Soulful rockers, The Imperial Sound.

• Friday, July 26 - Rollicking Irish music with Finger On The Trigger
