"Carnival of the Animals," the first concert on Monday, June 17, will feature the music of French composer Camille Saint-Saens, played by french hornist Kelly Langenberg and cellist Sara Sitzer, and also includes an interactive dance component led by STEPS Academy of Elgin dance instructor Autumn Dobbeck.

On Monday, July 22, Chamber Music on the Fox presents "Flutter, Buzz and Bounce with BRASS!" Bass trombonist Mark Fry and his brass friends will delight listeners with music selections inspired by bees, sheep, lions, and more.

The final concert on Monday, Aug. 5 features Chicago's Quintet Attacca in a performance of "Peter and the Wolf." Each instrument will present the classic characters of the story with the music of Sergey Prokofiev arranged for wind quintet.

The free concerts begin at noon and are open to all ages. Lords Park is at 100 Oakwood Blvd. on Elgin's east side. Bring chairs or blankets and eat lunch while enjoying classical music performances with animal themes.

"We are thrilled to begin our collaboration with Lords Park Zoo this summer," said Kelly Langenberg, education director for Chamber Music on the Fox. "Each of our three concerts are animal-themed, offer a variety of music & instruments, and provide an enjoyable setting for families to enjoy live music, enjoy the farm zoo, and enjoy Elgin."
