Countless hours of fun await at Wacky Wagon Camp

Make new friends and memories all summer long at Schaumburg Park District's Wacky Wagon Camp.

Wacky Wagon runs Monday through Friday, June 10 to July 25 at Bock Neighborhood Center, 1223 W. Sharon Lane; Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road and Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way.

"Children will never be bored at this camp," said Pam Gauper, supervisor of parties and rentals. "Our camp counselors prepare fun activities and games for the morning session, and then campers get to have fun splashing around the pool in the afternoon. Not to mention our Fantastic Fridays that feature special events and field trips!"

Morning sessions will be held 9 a.m. to noon and afternoon sessions 1 to 4 p.m.

A one-time $50 Wacky Wagon Camp membership fee includes attendance at Monday through Thursday morning and afternoon sessions for all seven weeks, a Wacky Wagon T-shirt and discounts on Friday field trips. A pool pass or daily $5 fee is required for entry into Bock Pool and Meineke Pool.

Campers also have the option of paying an $8 drop-in fee per session.

Friday field trips and events require registration and a fee. Campers must be 6 to 12 years old and able to pass a basic swim test before swimming.

Wacky Wagon Camp will be canceled if rain continues until 8:30 a.m. for morning sessions and 12:30 p.m. for afternoon sessions. There will be no refunds of membership fee or daily session fee for canceled or shortened sessions, or for non-attendance. Participants' guardian will be notified of cancellation.
