Free Outdoor Sketching Event with Botanical Artists

Spend a morning inspired by nature while learning about botanical art. The Reed-Turner Botanical Artists are hosting their third annual Outdoor Sketching Day on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

Botanical art is a great way to connect with nature. No previous art experience is necessary to attend, just a desire to observe and create. Professional artists will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate techniques. This event is open to all ages, so adults are welcome to come sketch with their children. Just bring your sketchbook and a pencil, or any other preferred drawing materials such as pens or colored pencils.

The Outdoor Sketching Day is being held at the Reed-Turner Woodland Nature Preserve at 3849 Old McHenry Road in Long Grove. In the case of inclement weather we will meet inside the historical nature center. Questions? Email reedturnerbotanicalartists@gmail.com
