Dundee Twp. Park District's Concerts in the Park start June 7
The Dundee Township Park District's Free Concerts in the Park will welcome a wide variety of musical genres this summer.
The popular series kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Carpenter Park in Carpentersville with Billy Elton, featuring songs from Billy Joel and Elton John.
The concerts will be held on Fridays throughout the summer from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Food and drinks will be sold by the Dundee Township Lions Club.
Other musical acts scheduled to appear this year are Roots Rock Society on June 14 at Grafelman Park, off Main and North Fifth streets in West Dundee; Rosie and the Rivets on June 21 at Lions Park, off Penny Avenue in East Dundee; China Grove on July 12 at Grafelman Park; Ethan Bell Band on July 19 at Lions Park; Second Hand Soul Band on July 26 at Carpenter Park, off Maple Avenue in Carpentersville; Saturday June Band on Aug. 2 at Grafelman Park; and Smokin' Gunz on Aug. 9 at Lions Park.
On Saturday, June 29, there will be a concert and fireworks at Meadowdale Park, off Besinger Drive in Carpentersville. Kick off the July Fourth week with a performance by The Associates Band from 7:30 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
The concerts in the park series are co-sponsored by the Village of West Dundee, Village of East Dundee, and the Village of Carpentersville.

The Dundee Township Park District serves over 60,000 residents in the communities of Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, and portions of Algonquin, Gilberts, Elgin, Barrington Hills and Hoffman Estates.
