Total raised climbs to over $130,000 for Patton's Walkathon

The Patton Elementary School Community in Arlington Heights School District 25 has come together over the last 12 years to raise over $130,000 for Make-A-Wish Illinois & Make-A-Wish America.

The money goes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and helps to grant a wish for a child who has been diagnosed with cancer. The students and staff work hard to fund raise over the course of a month.

Through various spirit days, concerts by Mike from the famous Mike and Joe band, Pie in the Face Day where students bid to playfully pie their teachers in the face, community restaurant nights, and just donations from the parents and community, the money pours in.

The walk is a celebration of the fundraising efforts and a reminder of how a community can come together and have an impact.
