The Well Church to host grand re-opening May 19

After two and a half months, the Well Church in Geneva will hold its grand reopening on Sunday, May 19. The church went through a number of repairs and renovations after the building sustained damage from the violent winds at the end of February.

Lead Pastor Jerry Shaffer says that everyone is more than excited to be holding services again in the church.

"We have great news! We got our occupancy from the fire department, so we are coming home! Sunday, May 19, is our grand reopening at (our campus) on Cherry Lane. We want to thank the community and all of the churches that came together to help us out while our building was being repaired. We are beyond grateful to everyone who made this possible," Shaffer said.

The church's roof was blown off from the winds that occurred Feb. 24.

Because of the damage to the roof, the church also sustained damage due to the elements weeks later. A countless number of hours of work were put in by both businesses and church members to get the church up-and-running again. The church was given the clearance to be back in the building on May 14.

Services will be held at 9 and 11 a.m. at the church, 33W835 Cherry Lane in Geneva. For information, call the church at (630) 262-1083 or visit cometothewell.org.
