Registration open for Rosary High School's summer academic, athletic camps

Rosary High School in Aurora is offering academic and sports camps for grade school and high school students in June and July.

Academic camps for girls in fourth to eighth grade are offered in theater/music, art, creative writing, faith, graphic design, baking, math, sign language, architecture, women in history, and entrepreneurship.

Athletic camps are offered for students in fourth to 12th grade for girls in volleyball and basketball, and for girls and boys in golf.

Academic camps are set for June 3-7 and June 10-14.

The programs on June 3-7 will be: "Creative Writing and the iPad," "Creativity is Contagious," or "I Can Use Photoshop 1" from 8 to 10 a.m.; "Bread Making & Cookie Baking," "Cartooning," or "Amazing, Active, Fun Math Applications" from 10 a.m. to noon; "Learn Sign Language," "Architecture: Design & Discovery," or "Famous Women in History" from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.; and "Be Your Own Boss" from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

On June 10-14, the programs will be: "Theatre & Choral Arts" or "I Can Use Photoshop 2" from 8 to 10 a.m. and "Mary, Mother of Jesus" or "Artist Palette" from 10 a.m. to noon.

The two-hour camps are $105 each, but the price decreases with each camp added.

For example, the cost of four camps is only $295.

Sign up for four camps the week of June 3-7 and stay all day. Arrive as early as 7:20 a.m. and stay as late as 5 p.m. Space is limited; sign up early!

Coed golf camp wil be offered for fourth- to 12th-grade boys and girls. Camp for fourth- to eighth-graders will be 5 to 7 p.m. June 10-14. For high schoolers, it will be 5 to 7 p.m. June 24-28.

Golf camps meet at Valley Green Golf Course, 314 Kingswood Drive in North Aurora.

Basketball camps for girls in fourth to 12th grade will be offered July 8-12. Sign up fourth- to sixth graders for the 8 to 10 a.m. session or seventh- and eighth-graders for the 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. session.

Volleyball camps for girls in fourth to 12th grade will be held July 15-19. Sign up fourth- to sixth-graders for the 8 to 10 a.m. session or seventh- to eighth-graders for the 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. sesssion.

Only the golf camp is off-site; all other camps meet at Rosary High School.
