Batavia Library hosts Old Books Roadshow May 12

The Batavia Public Library Foundation is pleased to present the Old Books Roadshow - a book appraisal event - from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 12, at the Batavia Public Library. Appraisals of old and rare books will be provided by Thomas J. Joyce of Joyce and Company Rare Books & Appraisals.

Joyce and Company has been in business as professional rare booksellers and appraisers since 1975. Owner Tom Joyce has previously appeared on HGTV's "Appraisal Fair" program.

This fundraising event is open to everyone - bring your old and rare books for appraisal. Individual appraisals will cost $5 for one book and $10 for three books. Appraisals will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pay with cash or by check made out to Batavia Public Library Foundation. Proceeds will benefit the Batavia Public Library Foundation.

Registration is not required. Doors to the Founders Room open at 1:45 p.m. For information, call George H. Scheetz director, at (630) 879-1393, ext. 350.
