Document Shredding Event is May 18, 2019 at Palatine Township Center

Spring is an opportune time to dispose of unwanted documents that can clutter up homes. Palatine Township and the Palatine Lions Club are partnering to offer a solution by providing free document shredding on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (or until trucks are full) in the Palatine Township Center parking lot, 721 S. Quentin Road in Palatine.

To drop off items, Palatine Township residents must remain in their vehicles and enter the parking lot from westbound Illinois Avenue. Motorists are asked to stay to the right side of Illinois Avenue prior to turning into the parking lot to avoid obstructing local traffic. Volunteers will be on site waiting to collect the documents.

Please note: There is a limit of two 'bankers' boxes (or the equivalent amount) of documents, which should be transported in either cardboard boxes or paper bags. Once the drop off is complete, motorists should exit the parking lot via Quentin Road.

"This long-standing partnership between the Township and the Lions Club provides an invaluable service at no cost to our residents," said Palatine Township Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson. "We invite all residents of Palatine Township to take advantage of this spring cleaning opportunity."

Appointments are not required, and documents will be destroyed on-site through secure, cross-cut shredding provided by Accurate Document Destruction, Inc.
