Schaumburg Library to Show American Creed Documentary

A showing of the documentary, "American Creed," followed by a discussion, will take place from 6:30-9 p.m., Thursday, May 30, in Workshop at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Registration is required for this free event. To register, call (847) 923-3347 or visit the Adult Information Desk on the library's second floor. In "American Creed," former U.S Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David M. Kennedy come from different perspectives to investigate the idea of a unifying American creed. Their inquiry frames the stories of citizen-activists striving to realize their visions of America's promise across deepening divides. Attendees are welcome to share their thoughts and insights during a discussion after the documentary.
