Church to host sixth annual Green Living Fair April 28

Ridgefield-Crystal Lake Presbyterian Church is hosting its sixth annual Green Living Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at the church, 8505 Church St. in Ridgefield, northwest of Crystal Lake.

Organized by the church's Earth Care Team, the fair provides a fun time for participants, young and old, to learn about caring for the earth through eco-displays and green living tips.

This year's fair will include: learning how to help monarch butterflies and other pollinators, seeing baby chicks in action, receiving the McHenry County Green Guide 2019-2020,

Discover where the local water supply comes from and how to keep it clean with the McHenry County Water Resources Division. Take action to stop climate change with the McHenry County Chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby. Or find out the new developments with the local food coop, FoodShed Coop. Explore residential and community solar options in Illinois with the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County. Learn about projects that bring safe drinking water to those in need in Guatemala with Living Waters for the World. The public is invited to attend this eco-event to learn, explore and take action on the environment.
