Lions Club to host pasta dinner May 10 in Huntley

The Huntley Area Lions Club will again be hosting a pasta dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 10, at the Huntley High School cafeteria, 13719 Harmony Road.

Cost is $9 for adults if purchased in advance of the dinner ($10 at the door) and $5 for children 10 and under.

Tickets are available from any Huntley Area Lion or at the door for an extra dollar.

Dinner includes pasta with meatballs, salad with tomatoes and cucumbers, ranch or Italian dressing, garlic bread, ice cream cup, chocolate chip cookie, milk, lemonade or coffee.

In addition to the great food, you are contributing to local and worldwide Lions charities for the vision and hearing-impaired, scholarships to Huntley High School seniors, and local charities like the Grafton Food Pantry, Home of the Sparrow, Transitional Living Services' veterans programs including the New Horizons center in Hebron, the Veterans of Foreign Wars' Veterans Starter Kits for homeless vets just receiving housing.

The Lions are almost 1.5 million strong worldwide. They are active in more nations and political entities than the United Nations. Its motto is "We Serve" and thanks to all of you, they can serve more and more who truly need and appreciate a helping hand.
