Rosemont School teachers serve up the fun at McDonald's!

Rosemont | Students gave the Rosemont School teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support local education!

Twenty teachers from Rosemont School volunteered on Thursday, April 4, at the Rosemont McDonald's located on River Road, where they served students and their families in a fundraiser for their school.

Brittany Muszynski worked the front counter the entire night, while Kate Gilhooly and Principal Laurie Kovalcik whipped up ice cream treats. Chrissy Vogel and Peter Schaul manned the drive-thru window. Kelly Depa and Kate O'Donnell got to wear the apple pie costume, and the kids loved it! School superintendent Kevin Anderson was the versatile man of the evening - he wore the pie costume, worked the drive-thru window, and greeted students at various times throughout the event!

Vanessa Cooper and Arielle Stephens did a great job working hard throughout the night and coordinating the entire event with McDonald's.

The proceeds from the sale of 200 pies went directly to benefit the school and twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher's Night sales were donated directly to the Rhodes School Benefit Club. The Club will be using the funds raised to run a Family Fun night and to purchase extra learning tools for the classrooms.

Denny Stabile, Owner- Operator of the River Grove McDonald's, and his outstanding crew were delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.

"McTeacher's Night is part of McDonald's larger commitment to education and other important initiatives supporting families and the local community," Stabile said.

"We are proud to serve the families of the Rosemont School community through the McTeacher's Night event. In addition to helping provide financial support for our local schools, we help students feel connected to their school, their teachers and their sense of community."

Stabile donated a case of apple pies to the school for sale at the event. Inspired by the success of McTeacher's Night, Denny Stabile has set his sights on partnering with other schools in the Rosemont area.
