Schaumburg library to celebrate 'Week of Young Child'

A variety of fun and educational activities for children will take place from Monday, April 8, through Saturday, April 13, at the Schaumburg Township District Library as the library celebrates "The Week of the Young Child."

The programs will take place at the Central Library in Schaumburg, 130 S. Roselle Road.

The celebration will kick off with "Music Monday" from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, in the kidsZone Program Room. Children from birth to 5 years old are welcome to enjoy a dance party with a parent or caregiver. Tickets for this free program may be picked up 30 minutes prior to the event.

Children ages 3 to 5 years old will learn about their sense of taste during "Tasty Tuesday" from 1 to 1:45 p.m. April 9 in the Craft Room. Children will explore different foods while attending with a parent or caregiver.

There is no fee, but registration is required at SchaumburgLibrary.org, in person, or by calling (847) 923-3439.
