Options Fair provides transition info for students with disabilities

The 2019 Options Fair for high school and college students with disabilities and their families will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at the College of Lake County.

Fifty agencies and organizations will provide vital information for individuals with disabilities, community and education professionals and families/caregivers.

The Options Fair will take place in the Physical Education Center (Building 7) on the Grayslake Campus. Parking is available in lots 2 and 3 on the north side of campus.

Community members can gather information on educational opportunities, employment services, vocational day programs, government programs, health services, recreational opportunities, referral sources, residential programs, transportation resources, vocational day programs and trade schools.

Sponsoring organizations include Adlai Stevenson High School, Community High School District 117, Barrington High School District 220, the College of Lake County and Deerfield/Highland Park High Schools. Other sponsoring organizations include Glenbrook High Schools District 225, Community High School District 128, Special Education District of Lake County, Lake County Center for Independent Living and Zion-Benton Township High School District 126.
