April 11: Options Fair provides transition info for students with disabilities

The 2017 Options Fair for high school and college students with disabilities and their families will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 at the College of Lake County.

Fifty agencies and organizations will provide vital information for individuals with disabilities, community and education professionals and families/caregivers.

The Options Fair will be held in the Physical Education Center (Building 7) on the CLC Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St. Parking is available in lots 2 and 3 on the north side of campus.

Community members can gather information on educational opportunities, employment services, vocational day programs, government programs, health services, recreational opportunities, referral sources, residential programs, transportation resources, vocational programs and trade schools.

Sponsoring organizations include Adlai Stevenson High School, Antioch/Lakes High Schools, Barrington High School, College of Lake County, Deerfield/Highland Park High Schools, Glenbrook High Schools, Libertyville/Vernon Hills High Schools, Special Education District of Lake County and Lake County Center for Independent Living.
