Women in McHenry County to honor Crystal Lake resident at awards luncheon April 18

Linda Grizely has been named the recipient of the local 2019 Women of Achievement and Charlotte Danstrom Award by Women in McHenry County.

WiM3 is a nonprofit, community-based organization of women in business. They honor the memory of the organization's inspirational founder Charlotte Danstrom through the annual Women of Achievement Awards Program.

The program is designed to acknowledge WiM3 members for contributions to Women in McHenry County, for professional achievement, leadership qualities at work, in the community, and support given to others through mentorship.

Grizely describes her gratitude as the recipient of this award, "I am honored to receive this recognition. The wonderful, professional women of WiM3 and their 'Meeting, Mentoring and Motivating' philosophy are a part of what got me where I am today. I am proud to be involved in the organization and contribute to the development of women in our community".

WiM3 will honor the Crystal Lake residient during a luncheon reception from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, at the Crystal Lake Country Club, 721 Country Club Road in Crystal Lake.

Grizely is director of marketing and business development for Weyers McKeever Financial Partners and a specialist in nonprofits at The Art of Tenacity. She currently serves WiM3 on the board as the marketing chair and has previously served as the scholarship co-chair and marketing assistant. Her additional community service includes being a member of the President's Council of the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce, serving as secretary of her residential home owner's association, and facilitating the fund development network at Volunteer Center McHenry County.

Joyce Lewis, former recipient and member director, is the keynote speaker.

The cost for this special awards reception is $30 per person. They also offer gluten-free or vegetarian options.
