St. Emily School Prayer Service and Lenten Outreach

St. Emily School students recently held a service to offer prayers for the intentions of all people who need clean water for survival. As an outreach project for the season of Lent, the students also raised funds through offering a school-wide walking taco lunch. Proceeds will benefit "Pete's Well." The well was built in Amor village, Uganda, in honor of the late Deacon Pete Hajdu through the Fields of Life program. Pete's Well provides clean water to the village residents.

March 22 is World Water Day. Designated by the United Nations, it is a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.
