Comedian, radio host Patti Vasquez headlines 'LOL! Stand-Up for Scholars' April 5

The Auxiliary of Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage and Delnor hospitals will host "LOL! Stand-Up for Scholars" on Friday, April 5, at Abbington Distinctive Banquets, 3S002 Route 53 in Glen Ellyn.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

The evening includes stand-up comedy, music and fundraising, featuring comedian Patti Vasquez, emcee Paul Farahvar and live music by Northwestern Medicine's own Dr.Tony Altimari and The Vital Signs.

Guests will also enjoy cocktails and a delicious dinner, a live auction, raffles, a wine pull and so much more.

The "LOL! Stand-Up for Scholars" event will benefit the next generation of caregivers by raising funds for the Auxiliary Scholarship Program.

"This is going to be such a fun night for such a great cause. Supporting our future healthcare professionals is vitally important to all of us," said Vasquez, internationally performing comedian and WGN Radio show host.

The auxiliary's mission is to support Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage and Delnor hospitals through fundraising, public awareness and community service initiatives.

Since its inception in 1960, the Auxiliary has raised and donated more than $10 million to the

hospitals and the communities they serve, including $1 million granted through the Auxiliary Scholarship Program to students pursuing careers in health care.
