From Flipping Pages to Flipping Burgers, Enders-Salk Elementary Raises Funds at McDonald's

Hoffman Estates| Ender-Salk Elementary School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support local education and school activities.

Teachers from Schaumburg School District 54 volunteered behind the counter on Wednesday, February 20th, at the Hoffman Estates McDonald's located on Roselle Road, where they served students and their families in a fundraiser for Enders- Salk Elementary School.

Several teachers tended the apple pie box during the night, while other teacher sold pies alongside them throughout the evening. The proceeds from their sale of 180 pies went directly to benefit the students. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher's Night sales were donated directly to the Ender-Salk Elementary fourth-grade team to help support the fourth-grade students Springfield trip.

David Bear, Owner-Operator of the Hoffman Estates McDonald's, was delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.

"We are proud to serve the families of Schaumburg District 54 Schools through the McTeacher's Night event. In addition to helping provide financial support for our local schools, we help students feel connected to their school, their teachers and their sense of community."
