Elgin Public Museum hosts Science Night March 8

The Elgin Public Museum, 225 Grand Blvd., continues its "Science Night" series with "Architecture, Animal and Other" from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8.

Curious about how houses are made? How bridgescan sustain the weight of so many cars and not collapse? Well, come on in and discover how these feats are made! Learn how not only humans have built houses, but also how other animals build theirs too!

Cost is $2 per person or free for museum members.

This is a drop-in event; no registration required.

Curious about the natural world around you? Bring your family to Elgin Public Museum's "Science Night" series. In February, attendees learned about the calls and features of our feathered friends and made pine cone bird feeders. They also investigated beaks of different bird types to see what they chow down on in a hands-on lab.

Different stations will be set up around the museum for kids and their parents to experience themed, hands-on demonstrations and scientific experiments.
