Dance into spring with Cary Park District ballroom dance classes

Dance like your favorite stars on television and learn all the basic steps for a variety of popular social dances in a relaxed environment.

The Cary Park District offers a wide variety of dance style options for you to learn including swing, fox trot, cha-cha, salsa and much more.

Classes are designed for adults. It is held at the Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, Cary.

Cost is $87 for residents and $94 for nonresidents.

A beginner class focusing on swing, fox trot and salsa will be held from 2 to 3:15 p.m. Sundays, March 3-April 7.

An advanced class exploring Argentine tango, waltz, swing, and salsa will be held from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. Sundays, March 3 to April 7.

A beginner class offering waltz, swing, cha-cha and merengue will be held from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Tuesdays, March 5 to April 9.

An intermediate class teaching waltz, tango, salsa and merengue will be held from 8:15 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 5-April 9.

No experience is necessary for the beginner program. However, instructor approval is required for the advanced program.
