Help train Comfort Dogs for Lutheran Church Charities
Becoming a K-9 Apprentice trainer for Lutheran Church Charities is a rewarding experience that helps bring mercy and compassion to those suffering and need through a trained golden retriever and their handler.
The responsibilities of an apprentice trainer involve boarding a dog and bringing the dog to weekly classes. You will train with a partner.
Lutheran Church Charities currently has two locations that are looking for apprentice trainers: East Dundee and Northbrook.

Launched in August 2008, the Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry is a national human-care ministry embracing the calming nature and skills of purebred golden retrievers. The comfort dogs are a bridge for compassionate ministry, opening doors for conversation about faith and creating opportunities to share mercy and compassion.
LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs are working animals, trained to interact with people of all ages and circumstances who are suffering and in need. The dogs participate in scheduled and special events. Dogs are permanently placed with churches, schools and other ministries. To learn more, visit www.lutheranchurchcharities.org.
