The Will Tilson Band to light up Hey Nonny in Arlington Heights on March 14

The Will Tilson Band, fronted by 19-year-old Chicago guitarist Will Tilson, will unleash a collection of classic and original Blues and Soul tunes on Thursday, March 14, at Hey Nonny, 10 S. Vail Ave., in Arlington Heights, beginning at 7:30 pm (with doors opening at 6:30 pm).

Guitarist/singer/songwriter Tilson, a Wilmette native now living in Chicago, leads a tight outfit of Chicago musicians, featuring a powerful rhythm section and crooning horns - showcasing R&B classics ranging from Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, and Al Green, to the fiery blues of Muddy Waters and B.B. King.

With a voice and stage presence well-beyond his years, Tilson has been captivating audiences in and around Chicago with both solo and ensemble appearances, sharing the stage with musician heavyweights such as Dave Specter, Corky Siegel, Sam Lay and Marcella Detroit - and playing some of the city's top spots, including Buddy Guy's Legends, Evanston SPACE, The Bassment, The House of Blues, Uncommon Ground and Untitled Supper Club.

Tilson's gritty vocals and soul-inflected six-strings have also garnered the attention of print and broadcast media from all across the country, winning him invitations to perform at numerous music festivals, most notably the Chicago Blues Festival, the El Paso Neon Desert Music Festival, and the International Blues Challenge in Memphis (filling clubs up and down Beale Street with the world's largest gathering of Blues performers).
