Elgin church to host second annual gala dinner, auction March 2

First Congregational United Church of Christ, 256 E. Chicago St. in Elgin, will host its second annual gala dinner and silent auction at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2.

Enjoy appetizers and open bidding at 5:30 p.m., with formal dinner and entertainment to follow, prepared and presented by the FCC youth.

All proceeds go to help fund the 2019 Youth Mission Trip.

The dinner will be a four-course Italian dinner with appetizers, soup, salad, choice of pasta Bolognese or chicken Alfredo, and dessert.

Bidding times for the auction will occur only the night of the gala.

All proceeds will support the 2019 mission trip to work with feeding programs and house repair for the underserved in Providence, Rhode Island.

Tickets are $16 or $10 for children, age 9 or younger.
