Prairie Center Welcomes The Beatles' White Album Presented by Professor Moptop

The Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts welcomes Professor Moptop as he presents a lecture on The Beatles' White Album, Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

Professor Moptop - Chicagoland's leading Beatles aficionado - will explore one of the band's most iconic albums, "The White Album" in this lecture. Dive deep into the magic and timelessness behind this album and the band that brought it to life. The professor will dissect the iconic double album, and shed light on its brilliance, mystery, and timelessness.

More than just another Beatles' record that changed the direction of rock and roll, the "White Album" is in many ways the Fab Four's definitive release, showing the band at its most powerful and at times its most vulnerable.

Professor Moptop is regularly featured on Chicago's WXRT and recently wrote his first Beatles textbook, "Professor Moptop's Textbook Beatles, Volume I: From the Birth of the Band to December 31, 1962".

This presentation is part of the Prairie Center's lecture series, featuring engrossing one-person presentations about fascinating people and moments in time. Presentations are held in the Prairie Center's intimate 96-seat lecture hall.

Fans of the Beatles may also want to check out the March 22 Prairie Center performance by Classic Albums Live, as they recreate the White Album note-for-note.

Tickets for Professor Moptop's lecture about the Beatles' White Album on Sunday, March 17 are $10; tickets for the March 22 Classic Albums Live Performance of the White Album are $36 / $34 seniors & students.
