Clarendale of Addison opens information center, names executive director for new senior living community

Clarendale of Addison, the senior living community currently under construction off Route 53 and I-355 in Addison, has hired Katie Harvey to serve as executive director of their independent living, assisted living and memory care community.

With the community scheduled to open later this year, a new information center is now open at 80 W. Lake St. in Addison's Green Meadows Shopping Center.

"I'm delighted to be joining Clarendale of Addison, especially now," says Harvey. "It will be a pleasure greeting Chicago-area seniors and their families at our information center and introducing them to Clarendale, which will offer a unique combination of residential amenities, exceptional hospitality services and social opportunities seldom found in other senior living communities."

Harvey brings more than 10 years of experience to her executive leadership role at Clarendale of Addison including, most recently, a year as executive director at sister community Clarendale of Schererville. She also spent six years at the helm of new communities launched in The Villages, Florida.

In 2017, Harvey was named Corporate Operations Director for Life Care Services, An LCS Company, and the management firm leading operations at the Clarendale communities. With a proven background managing communities specializing in independent living, assisted living, memory care and licensed respite care, Harvey is uniquely qualified to take the lead at Clarendale of Addison.

"I know Addison seniors and their families will appreciate the unique benefits of village-style living. Clarendale of Addison will offer a gracious, comfortable residential setting that helps residents live life to the fullest, staying connected to the people, places and things they most enjoy," Harvey says.

Located 20 miles from downtown Chicago and 5 miles from O'Hare airport on a 4.1-acre site along Lake Street in the Village of Addison, Clarendale of Addison will offer independent living, assisted living and memory care under one roof with a focus on connected living.

Harvey explains: "At Clarendale of Addison, the emphasis is on services and programs that provide the opportunity to stay a part of, and involved in, mainstream living, as well as fostering relationships with family and others outside the community. Residents will be right in the heart of it all-near shopping, restaurants, a movie theater, parks, golf courses and area churches. And for peace of mind, three top hospitals are less than five miles away."

The all-inclusive retirement living community will offer a variety of floor plan options. Residents may choose from private one- and two-bedroom apartments in both independent living and assisted living. Studio suites will be available in memory care. Residents will also enjoy access to community spaces for socializing and entertaining, including a restaurant-style dining room and casual bistro, a pub, club room, library, salon and fitness center.

The location of Clarendale of Addison provides easy access to shopping and restaurants, and it is adjacent to the 21-screen Marcus Addison Cinema, with an ever-changing lineup of current and classic movies. Plus, when residents want to get outdoors and enjoy nature, Centennial Park is practically in the community's backyard.

For information about the community, Harvey may be reached at the information center located at 80 W. Lake St. in Addison, or by phone at (630) 749-5699.
