Elgin National Little League opens spring registration; welcomes sponsorship opportunities

Boys and girls, age 5 to 16, are invited to sign up for spring registration for Elgin National Little League.

Baseball, softball and T-ball teams play from April to June, learning the fundamentals of teamwork, developing their athletic ability and building life skills.

Registration for all teams is open at www.ElginNational.com. For this league, children must live or attend school within these boundaries: North of Route 20; south of I-90; east of the Fox River, and west of Route 59.

Tryouts for AAA minor and major teams (9-, 10- and 11-year-olds) will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at Elgin Academy, 350 Park St.

Sponsorships are also available for the 2019 season.

Businesses can sponsor Elgin National Little League and support nonprofit youth baseball and softball for nearly 250 boys and girls on the east side of Elgin.

Donations are also accepted for the Elgin National Little League Scholarship Fund.

Helping families with financial need pay registration and uniform fees, scholarship fund donors will be recognized at opening day ceremonies.

Elgin National Little League is youth baseball and softball organization. Last year, they had more 30 teams with over 275 youths, ages 5 to 16, participate in the baseball and softball programs. The league, which started in 1951, has a long history of excellence and it is the generosity of sponsors and volunteers that make this possible.

Annual sponsorship levels include:

• Gold: $500, which includes field banner, web presence, Opening Day recognition;

• Silver: $250, which includes: web presence and Opening Day recognition

• Bronze: $125, includes web presence.
