Get a beer named after a family pet while raising funds for West Suburban Humane Society

The West Suburban Humane Society has partnered with local Downers Grove brewery, Alter Brewing Company, to raise funds for the humane society at an inaugural craft beer tasting event on Sunday, March 3.

The event will take place from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at Alter Brewing's Barrel Room, 2300 Wisconsin Ave., Suite 213, in Downers Grove.

Additionally, food from local barbecuers Pitty Que will be available.

Most importantly, all proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly to the West Suburban Humane Society to benefit the cats and dogs in their shelter.

Raffle tickets also will be sold to benefit the West Suburban Humane Society. One lucky raffle winner selected that evening will have the opportunity to have an Alter Brewing beer named after their pet, including the likeness of their pet on the beer's branding.

A general admission ticket will include five 5-ounce tastings and appetizers for $50, and a VIP ticket will include five 5-ounce tastings, appetizers, guaranteed seating in the VIP lounge area, and a commemorative beer glass for $75 (please note, this ticket requires the use of stairs).

Tickets are now on sale and may be purchased online at Eventbrite.com.
