Chicago Hip-Hop Artists come together to Support Kids with Disabilities

A Hip-Hop Benefit Concert @ SubT (Wicker Park)

Musicians from local recording establishment Classick Studios, come together to help raise money and awareness for this rare neuromuscular condition, AMC (arthrogryposis multiplex congenita).

Chicago Hip-Hop can get a bad rap. The "Show Some Love" benefit concert will showcase the positive impact Hip-Hop culture has on the greater community. AMC effects roughly 1 in 3000 births and occurs naturally. It includes over 400 specific diagnosis but is mostly characterized by "contractures" or curved joints. Since it is a physical deformation, kids can easily become targets for bullying.

This event will take place Thursday February 7th at legendary Chicago Hip-Hop Venue, Subterranean, located at 2011 W. North Ave, and will be headlined Chicago native Jayaire Woods. Tickets can be purchased online through the SubT Facebook page, or at the door. All proceeds will be donated to AMCSI, the leading organization providing support and awareness for AMC.

Come "Show Some Love" for this great cause this upcoming Thursday at SubT! Hope to see you there.

Stay warm Chicago!
