Experience a bit of Havana while enjoying Las Vegas-style gaming at Save-A-Pet's 2019 "Aces for Animals Casino Night: Hot Havana Nights" fundraiser.

The event will be Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Arboretum Club, 401 Half Day Road in Buffalo Grove. All proceeds benefit Save-A-Pet's no-kill-mission. Save-A-Pet is an established nonprofit organization that rescues dogs and cats and operates a full-time adoption center in Grayslake.

Enjoy an evening with masters of ceremonies from 95.1 WIIL Rock, John Perry (JP), Tom Kief, and Steve Salzman, who will lead guests through an evening of blackjack, poker, roulette, craps and more for a chance to earn chips that can be redeemed for raffle tickets.

Enjoy complimentary Cuban-inspired food and a cash bar. Highlights of the game prizes, raffle and silent auction include sports memorabilia, vacation getaways, and two complementary tickets to Save-A-Pet's 33rd annual Tuxedo for Tails Gala in October.

Players of all skill levels are welcome. Friendly dealers will help novices become experts by the end of the evening.

Early bird tickets are $60 and include $100 in play money/chips. Order tickets before Feb. 4 to obtain the early bird pricing before the regular price of $75 begins.

To purchase Aces for Animals Casino Night tickets, visit Save-A-Pet's website at and click on "Aces for Animals." Tickets and sponsorships are tax deductible, up to the value of the donation.

All proceeds go toward the care of the dogs and cats rescued by Save-A-Pet.

Save-A-Pet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and has saved more than 63,000 animals and expanded thousands of families with the love of an adopted pet.

Relying solely on donor generosity, Save-A-Pet, is one of the largest no-kill cat and dog rescues in Lake County and costs more than $1,600,000 per year to operate.
