Local GOP to host Schaumburg mayoral forum Jan. 26

The Schaumburg Township Republican Organization will host a candidates forum for the village of Schaumburg's April 2 mayoral race during its breakfast meeting at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Chandler's Chophouse, 401 N. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

The organization has invited all three candidates - Tom Dailly, Nafees Rahman and Matthew Steward - though Rahman has declined because of a prior commitment. He will instead provide a written statement to be read.

Daily Herald Deputy Managing Editor for Opinion Jim Slusher will moderate the forum.

Due to an anticipated large turnout, attendees should send an email with the number in their party to gopstro@gmail.com or leave a message at (224) 353-6543.

The organization asks for a $15 contribution from members and a $20 contribution from nonmembers to cover the cost of the breakfast.
