Registration open for workplace harassment prevention seminar Jan. 31

Registration is now open for a workplace harassment prevention seminar hosted by Valuable Resources Co., a leading human resources consulting group.

The event takes place on Thursday, Jan. 31, from 8 to 10 a.m. at One Pierce Place in Itasca.

During the seminar, Chicago area professionals will learn about the hidden cost of harassment and how to react to - and prevent - harassment in the workplace.

The seminar will introduce attendees to Valuable Resources' training tool, "Taboo Topix."

During a "Taboo Topix" training event, actors recreate actual harassment scenarios to help employees understand what harassment looks and sounds like.

"Harassment comes in many forms," said Laurie Huspen, CEO and founder of Valuable Resources Co. "And certain actions, though not intentionally aggressive, may cause discomfort for employees, which is why it's essential for companies to be able to identify these situations, behaviors and harmful language."

At the upcoming seminar, attendees will also learn key strategies and tips for preventing harassment and shaping a positive and inclusive culture.

The seminar on Jan. 31 is open to local corporate professionals for $99.

Space is limited, so register at vrc-hr.com/upcoming-events/.

One Pierce Place is located in Itasca near I-290 and Thorndale Avenue.
