Hot Rocks, best Midwest Rolling Stones tribute band, to play at Forest View Sunday, January 27

The Hot Rocks Rolling Stones Tribute Band will have fans jumping out of their seats and shouting the lyrics of their favorite Rolling Stones hits at their upcoming concert Sunday, Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. at the Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road in Arlington Heights.

This all-ages, theater-style show will transport you back in time to a Rolling Stones concert, with the same great sound and high energy that left concertgoers wanting more.

Ed Bloom, lead singer of Hot Rocks, said he is excited to put on a great show at Forest View. "It will be an all-ages show and we know it will be spectacular," he said. "We love it when Rolling Stones fans come and tell us how much they liked the show. Stones music is for all ages!"

The band is considered to be the "Best in the Midwest" by the Rolling Stones, Paramount Pictures and Martin Scorsese.

Bobby Keys, Rolling Stones saxophone player, performed two shows with Hot Rocks. "This is as good as it gets with any Stones Tribute Band," James Phelge, author and former Rolling Stones roommate, said.

The journey began at his 50th birthday party when Ed Bloom decided to sing some Rolling Stones hits while playing with his local blues band. His friend told him he had the look and sound of the legendary Mick Jagger.

"Twenty-five years later and still playing, that's what started Hot Rocks," shared Bloom. "I became a Rolling Stones fan from the time I heard, 'Not Fade Away' on the radio while I was driving in my '56 Buick. I said, "Rock n roll is back. I think it was 1964," remembered Bloom.

The lead singer's personal favorite Rolling Stones songs are Let's Spend the Night Together, Painted Black and Can't You Hear Me Knocking. "The Stones have a feel for what is current in the world and their songs reflect it," said Bloom.

Bloom said his favorite part of performing is when people get out of their seats and start dancing.

"When I see people are happy and we can make them forget their problems, if only for a little while," Bloom shared, about why he truly loves to rock out on the stage.

Since 1994, Hot Rocks has played at all types of venues and public and private events throughout the Chicagoland area and the Midwest. The band has performed on WGN-TV, Indiana TV and more.

Feel the dynamic energy of Hot Rocks, dance and shout the words to "Jumping Jack Flash" and "Brown Sugar" at their all-ages performance at Forest View Educational Center.
