Ring in the New year before naptime

Ring in the New Year before nap time with your little one at Schaumburg Park District.

Set for 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 31, at The Sport Center, 1141 W. Irving Park Road, the event features inflatables for climbing and a variety of toys and games for children ages 1 to 6.

Riding toys and other activities also will be available, including a noontime balloon drop to welcome in 2019.

"Instead of a ball drop at midnight, we celebrate with a festive balloon drop at noon," said Karen Shannon, manager of The Sport Center. "This is a really fun way for parents to celebrate the New Year with their children, without having to stay up late."

Cost is $10 per family for residents and $15 per family for nonresidents. Day-of registration is $15 per family for residents and $20 per family for nonresidents. Day-of registration is at The Sport Center if the event has not sold out.
