St. Edward Catholic High School sets date for eighth-grade placement test

St. Edward Central Catholic High School in Elgin will offer an opportunity for incoming freshmen to take the high school placement exam.

The test is administered to eighth-grade students interested in attending the college-preparatory Catholic high school beginning in the fall of 2019.

The placement test will be administered Saturday, Jan. 12.

The test will begin at 8:15 a.m. and ends at noon.

Students are requested to arrive by 8 a.m. at St. Edward Central Catholic, 335 Locust St., Elgin.

There is a $15 test fee that can be paid by check or cash on the day of the exam. No registration us required. Walk-ins are welcome.

Established in 1941, St. Edward Central Catholic High School is the Elgin-area's premier college-preparatory, coeducational high school founded in Catholic values. St. Edward Central Catholic offers 32 AP and Honors courses, boasts a 13-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio, has extensive athletic and extracurricular programs, and encourages students to develop a personal relationship with Christ.
