Join New Year's Hike with naturalist Jan. 1

The Forest Preserve District of Kane County has set a New Year's Hike from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, at Creek Bend Nature Center in St. Charles.

Start the new year with a healthy hike in the wintery woods! Bring the whole family or come on your own. Participants will look for the first animal tracks made in the new year's snow and discover any surprises Mother Nature offers.

There will be coffee and cocoa in the nature center, after the hike.

Creek Bend Nature Center is in LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, 37W700 Dean St., St. Charles.

Participation is free, however advance registration is required. Call (630) 444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com to register.
