Celebrate 'Christmas on the Farm' Dec. 15 at Peck Farm

The Geneva Park District invites families to celebrate the holidays at Peck Farm Park from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at the new Christmas on the Farm event.

Kick off this magical evening promptly at 4 p.m. as Nadeau's Ice Sculptors begins a two-hour ice carving demonstration that is sure to dazzle all in attendance. Visitors can listen to live holiday music from Paper Boats from 4 to 5 p.m. and the Geneva High School Choir from 5 to 6 p.m.

Throughout the evening, visitors can also gather around the fireplace inside the historic Peck Fa.rm Park house for a story with Mrs. Claus, visit with event sponsors, and stay warm outside by the fire in George's Circle.

L.L. Bean will be on-site to demonstrate how to build a shelter and how to layer clothing for proper protection in the cold temperatures. Santa will make an appearance to visit with all the good boys and girls. Parents are encouraged to bring their cellphone and/or cameras to capture photos with Santa.

The event admission is free; however, some food and activities may have a small fee. Graham's Hot Cocoa will be available for purchase.

Dress for the weather, as this event will happen rain, snow or shine.
