Sign up now for 21st annual Winterall

The Fox Valley District - Boy Scouts of America, Three Fires Council will hold its 21st annual Winterall on Saturday, Feb. 2, at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, 37W700 Dean St. in St. Charles.

Cub Scout dens, Boy Scout patrols, and Venture Crews will compete against boys their own age from throughout the district. Ribbons and trophies will be awarded at the closing ceremony to the first, second, and third place finishers in each age group.

Only the first 150 registered youth will receive the Winterall hat for 2019.

Planned Cub Scout events include "Snow Snake," "Gaga Ball," "Knot Tying Relay," "Bucket Challenge with a Twist," "Fire Building and Fire Starters," "Flipping for Fun," "Gorge Crossing," "Iceberg Flip," and "Klondike Time Trials."

The planned Boy Scout events include "Snow Snake and Ice Ball Bocci," "Fire Building," "Rug-O-War," "Winterall Challenge," "Klondike Time Trials," "Snowcone Challenge," "Tripod Tip-up," "Ice Flowage Crossing," "Abilities Awareness," "Orienteering Course," and "Gaga Ball."

It is subject to change due to weather, volunteers available and equipment needs.

The program is for Tigers, Cub Scouts, Webelos, Boy Scouts and Venturers. Bring your dens, patrols or crews.

It will start at 8 a.m. with the Boy Scouts and 9:45 a.m. with the Cub Scouts

Sign up for a "Boy Scout Polar Bear Camping" on Friday night, Feb. 1.

Cost is $15 per person or $10 for volunteers if paid by Jan. 28.
