Buehler YMCA in Palatine names new sport director

• Jeremy Clayton was named sports director at Buehler YMCA in Palatine.

Though sports has always been his passion, Clayton joined the YMCA of Metro Chicago with a background in the medical field. Before joining the YMCA team, Clayton worked full-time in a hospital. He began interning with the Leaning Tower YMCA in Niles before being hired on full-time at Buehler.

Growing up, Clayton played basketball, football and baseball. He currently trains and competes in Muay Thai and Brazilian jujitsu.

Clayton enjoys working with kids and creating opportunities for the youth to build academic readiness, character, discipline and a healthy lifestyle through sports. He hopes to bring a variety of quality programs to the YMCA that can provide a positive impact on the youth and community.
