The Fox Valley Festival Chorus will present "Castles, Carols and Cathedrals: A British Isles Holiday" at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Rosary High School auditorium, 901 N. Edgelawn Drive in Aurora.

"Castles, Carols and Cathedrals" features holiday songs from the British Isles, traditional Christmas carols, and modern Christmas music. The concert will end with the Hallelujah Chorus, and the audience is welcome to join in.

Under the direction of Mary Beth McCarthy, and accompanied by Bonnie Werthmann, the chorus includes more than 60 members from throughout the Fox Valley.

The Fox Valley Festival Chorus is Chicagoland's original community chorus, and has been providing musical entertainment in the area since 1955.

The chorus has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and most recently at St. Peter's Basilica in June 2017 on a 10-day performance tour throughout Italy. The group's next performance trip will take them to Toronto, Canada in June 2019.

Tickets are $15, $10 for seniors, or $5 for those age 12 or younger.

Rosary's auditorium features stadium seating, and accessible seating is available. Tickets can be purchased in advance from any chorus member, or at the door. All are welcome to enjoy refreshments at a free reception following the concert.

The chorus is partnering with Rosary's Alumnae Association Cozy Christmas Project, and will be collecting donations of hats, gloves, scarves, slippers, socks and blankets at the concert to be donated to the Dominican Literacy Center in Aurora.
