Cozen O'Connor attorney Joseph Tilson recognized in Chambers Global Rankings
Chambers Global 2018 has recognized Joseph Tilson, co-chair of Cozen O'Connor's Labor & Employment Department, as a worldwide leader in labor and employment law. Tilson is also ranked in the Chambers USA Guide.

Tilson has been ranked in the Chambers USA Guide since 2004. He is highlighted in the rankings as an attorney with "…a long-established practice that has brought him before state and federal courts, alongside administrative judges and arbitrators [and] is described by various peers as "a great lawyer" known throughout the US for his labor and employment prowess."
Tilson is a fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers and was named chair of the American Bar Association's Labor & Employment Section in 2018.
In his role as co-chair, Tilson represents employers in large scale employment litigation and labor arbitrations. In the past 30 years, Tilson has tried more than 150 jury and non-jury cases before the full range of courts, administrative agencies and labor arbitrators. He is nationally known for his knowledge and success in handling large wage and hour class action cases, but he also has vast experience in collective bargaining involving large, complex bargaining units.
Tilson also serves on the ABA's Council, the governing body of the ABA's Labor and Employment Law Section. He has been recognized as one of the top labor and employment lawyers in the nation, including being named the Chicago Employment Law "Lawyer of the Year" four times by Best Lawyers (in 2011, 2014, 2016 and 2018) and has been recognized as a Best Lawyer since 2004. He received a "Client Choice" award from the International Law Office (ILO) and Lexology (in 2014 and 2015) and has been named to the SuperLawyers list of the "Top 100 Illinois Super Lawyers" for seven consecutive years.
