Help Fox Valley Hands of Hope raise $14,788 on Giving Tuesday Nov. 27

On Nov. 27, Fox Valley Hands of Hope will celebrate Giving Tuesday by asking donors to fundraise for their 2019 family support programs - Herbie's Friends and Grief Takes A Hike Camp, which are anticipated to cost the organization $14,788.

"Family programs have become an essential part of our mission here at Fox Valley Hands of Hope. As one of the few organizations providing bereavement services for the whole family, raising funds to support Herbie's Friends and Grief Takes A Hike Camp is instrumental in the success and continuation of these support programs, which are provided to the community at no cost," said Greg Weider, executive director of Fox Valley Hands of Hope.

This year, Fox Valley Hands of Hope will receive a matching gift of $175 for any individual who donates $175 or more.

They need you to help the organization continue to provide compassionate care to families who have had a significant loss, through the family support programs!

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year's #GivingTuesday will take place Nov. 27 and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back.

"We are incredibly inspired by the way the #GivingTuesday community has embraced this concept for a worldwide movement," said Henry Timms, founder of #GivingTuesday and Executive Director of 92Y. "As we prepare for Nov. 27, we're energized and encouraged by the community's generosity. The levels of creativity, effort and the quality of the new ideas people have contributed and shared are phenomenal."
